Held in one of several centuries-old working temples in Kyoto.
To preserve the sanctuary's peace, temple names and locations are kept strictly private.

Gate to gate: about two hours for the 60-minute course, two and a half for the 90.
Please be at the gate about ten minutes before your time.
You change in the treatment room, with Satake stepping outside.
Close your eyes and the temple comes to you.
A drink is served with Japanese sweets, and the goshuin is handed to you here.
Satake sees you back to the gate.

The temples are available to us only a few days each month.
Requesting a time does not confirm it.

A few questions. We then ask the temple, and write back to you personally within 48 hours.
